Intro to Website Mockups

The options shown on this demo site will be customized with your content and sub-pages will be built to reflect the style of the home page. Stock images and/or images you have provided have been used as placeholders. All stock images are available for the site if approved.

These are home pages. Additional pages for the website will be built to echo the style of the home page.

NOTE about navigation: The navigation applies site-wide, so it is difficult to customize it for each option. Once a design option is chosen, the navigation will be set-up to work with that design.

The design options are shown in no particular order. Each option brings something to the project.

Please evaluate the options based on look, layout and function (not content, b/c the content will/might change based on your review of current content).

REFERENCE SITES

The following are sites that were identified by you as sites that you liked:

“I just feel these sites are all easier to navigate, and find out the critical info.”

PREFERENCES:

  • bright websites, crisp, clean
  • sticky navigation (stays at the top of the page)

Your choices clearly show that you prefer sites with good imagery and lightness, that are more classic and less trendy.

SITEMAP

A sitemap has been developed and can be accessed with this link – https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SC4jKEA-Gc9B5kyPYyIE8ZG0RVwplei9Nj66ddjXW2A/edit?usp=sharing

The sitemap is a list of proposed pages for your website.

Search engines use the content on your website to answer questions that people put into the search bar. The more closely your content answers their question, the more likely it is that your site will rank higher in the SERPs.

The pages in the sitemap here are suggestions that can help you decide what kind of content to put on your website. Your website content should be thought of as fluid – changing as needs change.

Another way to determine content for your site is to note the questions that people have when they first contact you and the specific types of words that they use. That information is likely the same kind of information that they type into a search engine. Google places a high value on ‘helpful content’ – content that closely matches the user’s search terms and intent.
