Prayer

Our church has been really challenged by the importance of prayer and by a deep desire for revival. In recent years, we have often asked the Lord what the psalmist asked in Psalm 85:6: “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?”

There are several opportunities for corporate prayer each week. Why not take advantage of what works with your schedule? One cannot pray too often!

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. is prayer on Zoom.
  • Wednesdays during the 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday Worship service. Usually, a number lead in prayer for other churches we are associated with, for those who are not well in our church family, for needs in our church family, for missions and missionaries we support etc.
  • Saturdays from 6-7. These prayer meetings tend to focus on revival, spiritual needs and the Sunday morning service. We just get together for prayer. Some slip in late and some slip out early…but for whatever time you come, it is a great opportunity to pour your heart out to God with others. Tolkien taught us that the hobbits liked “second breakfast”. For those who come to this prayer meeting, it is usually their second or third prayer meeting for the week.

NOTE: In all of our prayer times feel free to pray out loud and lead others who are there BUT you will never be put on the spot and asked to pray aloud unless the meeting leader has already asked you privately ahead of time to make sure you are comfortable with praying aloud!!
