What to expect:

Music - Singing is a big part of our service time. We sing songs to express our love for God, our dependance on God as well as of His goodness to us. We sing of what He has done as well as to express our feelings. Some of the songs you will know, others will be new but they are all projected on the wall so you can follow along. Our service has a mix of old hymns and new choruses.

Prayer - We pray to call on the God whom we love, and seek His presence and guidance in the service and our lives.

Teaching - We love the Bible and every Sunday we look at a passage to study. If you have a bible bring it along, you will use it. If you need a bible we always have some available in the foyer, let an usher know you need one and they will get you one. If you prefer to use a mobile device we recommend downloading an English Standard Version (ESV) as that is the translation we read from.

Relationships - People were made for community and you will find Bath Road to be filled with ordinary people of all ages and demographics. If it is your first time here be sure to let an usher or greeter know and they will help you find your way around. Following the service there is coffee and snacks available in the foyer. This is an important part of the service time to us. Please stay, take time to build relationships. If you are new find one of the pastors, they would be happy to meet you and introduce you to some other people. Also visit the welcome table to find information on the church as well as upcoming events.

What about the children? - At Bath Road Baptist Church some parents choose to keep their children in the service. To accommodate this we have an open concept design so parents are able to move to the foyer, should they find their children need to move around a bit, yet continue to be part of the service. If parents find their children are becoming a distraction there is a room available they can go to with their children and watch the service on a monitor.

Some parents prefer to have their children in the care of our capable care-givers for the service. Childcare for toddlers and infants is available for the entire service. There are also classes with age-specific teaching for preschool children aged 2-5 and another class for children aged 5-12. These classes begin just prior to the sermon.

For nursing mothers there is a private room where the message can be followed by video.

What should I wear? - Our goal on Sundays, and everyday, is to worship God and build relationships. This is best done when you are comfortably dressed. To that end you will see people wearing suits and others in t-shirts and shorts.
