Kids ages 5-10

If you’re the parent of a child, or children ages 5-10, you know how important it is to have a variety of activities for them at every meeting.

On Wednesdays, we have a Kids’ Club group that meets from 7:00 pm until 8:15 pm. The group is run by Pastor and Mrs. Ryttersgaard and is a great combination of activities, teaching, snacks, crafts, and trivia. Often other men and women from the church take turns teaching or doing the craft, so it is a great opportunity for the children of the church to meet adults within the church.

Often, Kids’ Club learns about missionaries or other Christians who had an impact on their society, with life application for today’s society. Last year one of the kids’ favourite lessons was about Helen Cadbury (yes, the chocolate lady!) and her life. It is such a pleasure to sit by and watch the kids learn about these people.

On Sundays, at 9:45 am there is a Sunday School for children ages 5-10 as well. The teacher teaches an interactive Bible story to the kids with lots of opportunity for the children to ask and answer questions. It runs concurrently with the Adults Sunday School and is great especially if you’re looking to join in with that.

During the service on Sundays we have a concurrent Sunday School which is entirely different material than the pre-service Sunday School. This is led by Pastor and Mrs. Irwin and allows the kids’ parents to listen to the message, and also allows the kids to get spiritually fed in an environment made specifically for this age group.
