Prayer Meetings

Each week there are groups of people from the church who meet for a time of prayer. There is a prayer meeting on Monday nights at 7 pm, as well as on Wednesday afternoon from 12-1 pm. Please contact Debbie for more information. We hope to see you there!

On the first Thursday of every month, parents get together to pray for their children and for the children of others. It’s from 7:30pm to 8:30pm at Terry & Jane’s house. Please contact Debbie for their address or any other information!

Seniors’ Bible Study

Wednesday mornings beginning in April, Pastor John Downs will be leading a Seniors’ Bible Study. It will be held each Wednesday morning from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.  Study guides will be available.  Check back in March for updated information about this study. 

Great themes from the book of Romans!!

On Sunday evenings (6:30 pm) our church is enjoying a sermon series on “Great themes from the book of Romans!!” These sermons are being preached by a variety of speakers and will take us through some of the tremendously important teachings from this great book.

Martin Luther said about Romans… “This Epistle is really the chief part of the New Testament and the very purest Gospel, and is worthy not only that every Christian should know it word for word, by heart, but occupy himself with it every day, as the daily bread of the soul. It can never be read or pondered too much, and the more it is dealt with the more precious it becomes, and the better it tastes.”

Probably not too many of us will know it “word for word” by the end of the series but hopefully all will feel they know it much better by the end.

 

WMF Dessert and Fellowship Meeting – Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.  We will be celebrating St. Patrick’s day, with Irish music and green desserts.    Please join us for a night of worship and praise to our Lord.  Women of all ages are welcome!

Mens Supper – Tuesday March 16th at 6:00 pm. The men of the church are invited to the monthly supper. As usual, the cost is $10.00. Please sign up in the lobby of the church so that we know how much food to bring in.
